  • What a weekend it for sure has been! With two weddings this weekend, we started off Friday out in Martha’s Vineyard for the wedding celebration of Jessica Balkow in Edgartown . Now, what everyone needs to understand is that Hurricane Jose was lingering over the entire island during this time and our ferry ride out Thursday was canceled due to the weather conditions. With guests and vendors all on the main land Thursday afternoon, no one was able to make it out to the island. The amount of texts and phone calls to try to get a game plan was crazy! Friday morning, the day of the wedding comes about and the ferry’s do run. We make it over to Martha’s Vineyard, a little late, but we make it and the wedding takes place with every guest and vendor in attendance! What an adventure this has been for our couple Jessica and Steven. No hurricane will stop us from capturing a wedding! Be sure to view this short with some of our favorite moments from the Zion’s wedding day out on Martha’s Vineyard! #nowayjose #fromBtoZ

  • Wow. All we can say is wow. Upstate New York at the Red Maple Vineyard for our wedding this past Saturday was incredible! Talk about an unbelievable venue combined with the sweetest bride and groom as well as an excellent team of vendors. Again, all we can say is wow. Both sides of our couple’s family were so inviting and loving, the amount of energy and love that fell upon the Red Maple Vineyard was just so warm and rich that it made our job filming so enjoyable. We love what we do! See Ally and Bobby’s one of a kind wedding here in this short five minute film. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Harkins! #happilyeverharkins2017

  • Best moment of the day…sunsets and double rainbows for the win. Abigail and Justin celebrated their special day down at the Milford Yacht Club with family and friends, all while under the amazing sights of double rainbows and one gorgeous sunset! With the ladies over at a private rented beach house and the gentleman getting ready at a local hotel, the two were to meet at the yacht club and get hitched outside with a beautiful ocean view as the back drop. Filmed some loving moments that for sure tell a story of Abby and Justin’s love each share together. • Almost every wedding we have ever filmed has come from a former couple, family member or friend recommending MV Films to the next. It’s a great feeling to know our former couple’s sincerely love our work and recommend us to friends and family members who are getting hitched next. Barbara and Mike found us from a friend and former couple’s film that went viral on social media and right then and there, our bride knew who she was booking to tell the story of their day. Barbara and Mike both new a bunch of our former brides as well and even invited one of our couples from last year. Great to be able to see Amanda Maresca and Joey Maresca again at the reception, two wedding weekends in a row guys! The day’s events began down at the parent’s homes located in Branford and East Haven where both parties got ready. From here, it was to St. Michael’s Church in downtown New Haven and from here, over to Yale University for some creative portraits with our bridal party. Our last stop was up to Aria for the celebration to begin! Here, a short preview film of Barbara and Mike’s beautiful summer wedding celebration, one to never forget! #MonicoEverAfter

The rain came in the morning but by the time we all left for the church, the sun was shining and things were clearing up! Love when our couple’s book with us almost two years in advance and on the day of their wedding, everything comes to plan and goes like clockwork! Between family and friends all celebrating with the newlyweds, our day was filled with so much excitement and many good laughs. Love when we have a former couple of ours in the bridal party too! #ForeverDangelo

  • Rain on a wedding day. Most think it is the worst to have taken place or that it is a bummer. But in fact, actually it can turn out to be one of the best things, especially when filming creatively. Kim and Ben experienced a rainy Sunday afternoon wedding day, and to be honest, it turned out to be the best! Now, we all did get wet but a little water never hurt no one! Captured some incredible moments yesterday while on set at Saint Clements Castle in Portland. The day started off at Parisian Salon in Cromwell where our ladies had their hair styles created. From here, it was over to the Inn at Middletown on Main Street to get ready for the big day! With a ceremony and reception planned at Saint Clements, guests arrived to a beautiful intimate setting inside the castle, over in the Waterford Ballroom. See here how beautiful and elegant Kim and Ben’s day turned out. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Owen!

  • Love when we film a wedding at a venue we love, a couple that is incredible friends that we personally know in the bridal party and fellow vendors that we can’t wait to work with when booking with our couple. That is exactly the kind of day we had yesterday. Tracy and Chris’ day was beautiful in every which way. Everything from her amazing Kleinfield Dress, to the guys dressed to the nines, the venue and setting as well as the weather, the day was PERFECT. Just what the Stratton’s had wanted. Tracy and most of her ladies all had a theatre performance background so throughout the morning, musical references and song was portrayed. The celebration all day long truly had Tracy and Chris beaming. Check out a few of our favorite moments from their day! #strattondowntheisle

  • Extremely excited to be posting this short film of Devon + Mikey’s snowy winter wedding day!! And this was our first wedding of 2017! The South meets New England for one amazing day. That’s right, Texas celebrates with Connecticut. The day started out with our bride and her girls getting ready at the Heritage Hotel & Conference Center in Southbury with Kelly Hart of That Girl… on hair and makeup for our bride. Devon looked stunning! Our bride’s floral from Rita Floral Touch came out amazing, loved the colors. Working alongside photographer Joe Garcia and his assistant Steven, the day was smooth all throughout. Teaming up with these two gents from Texas was a great experience for us! Our bride and groom arrived at Saint Mary’s Church in Bethel a little before the ceremony was to begin for a first look out back. With the bridal party looking on from a far, Devon and Mikey had a chance to see each other for the first time on their wedding day all dressed to the nines. The smiles and laughter never ended! With a meaningful ceremony complete, we all ventured over to Southford Falls in Southbury for a few more creative portraits with our bridal party and newly married couple. What makes it even more amazing was that it began to snow! Our bride and her side being from Texas, had a cool experience with snow on the wedding day. The timing and setting was just picture perfect! Big props to our rockin bridal party for braving the cold and working with us during the creatives, not one member complaining of the cold and being true friends to our couple for sticking it out and making the day that much better. Heading back over to the Heritage Hotel, the venue was decorated and looked so elegant. Charisma started the reception off and rocked the house all night long! Great to work with everyone and can’t thank my team Mike Sun and Jeff Herget enough for a great job. So incredibly happy for the new Mr. and Mrs. McCormick! So much fun guys, truly an amazing experience to be a part of your day. Congrats again! #mccormmeanttobe

  • And just like that, our 2016 wedding season has come to an end. But not without going out with a BANG! Phylicia + Sean’s special day was nothing short of amazing!!! I mean, amazing. Everything from the perfect winter weather, awesome bridal party and a group of wedding professionals that know what’s what, makes for a knock out wedding day come to life. With a lot of planning for this production, we worked a lot with Phylicia to make sure we were not going to miss any details of the day. The one thing that our couple did not plan out, was a surprise that our groom’s best man had planned for the evening. See, our best man happens to be best friends with American Idol Winner and music artist Nick Fradiani and asked if Nick would perform a few songs at Phylicia and Sean’s reception as well as the first dance. And of course, one of the songs being his hit “Love Is Blind”. Amazing day and we for sure ended it right! Great to work with some fantastic professionals listed below that CT has to offer! Hope everyone enjoys Mr. and Mrs. Cahill’s sneak preview short film! #PSLoveFest

  • When our bride Elizabeth is a personally friend of yours, you know the wedding day is going to be extra special. Liz, works for one of our commercial clients and we’ve gotten to know her over the years and become friends. The bridal party began their day over at the Hartford Marriott hotel over in Farmington. Liz and her ladies were already in the process of hair and makeup by the time we arrived. GlamBoss Makeup was doing their talent with the ladies and our bride while Capelli Salon worked hair styles. Once everyone was prepped and ready including our gents in the room next door, we headed on over to New Britain for our couple’s planned ceremony which was held at the beautiful Sacred Heart Church. With our couple married officially, we ventured up to Simsbury to work on some creatives and portraits at the CT famous Flower Bridge. Working alongside with Mike Sun and Eric Brushett of Eric Brushett Photography as well as Tania Sones, the creative team worked with our bridal party for a few moments while the outdoor fall weather worked in our favor. From here, it was right back down to the Farmington Club where the celebration was to be held! Their live band Fever rocked the dance floor all night long and from here, the rest is history! What a great party and even bigger celebration. So so happy for Elizabeth and her new husband Steve! Congrats and here is to a life time of happiness. #takemeouttothemalgame

  • Big congratulations goes out to this amazing couple right here! Brittany + Luke were married this past Saturday out at The Overlook at Geer Tree Farm during another rainy day. Yet, the rain made the day so special to these two and it even just when needed, cleared up for us to take our bridal party to an awesome part of the property from some creatives and portraits. Then, just like that it began to rain again. Holding out for us two wedding days in a row is a miracle. Everything happens for a reason! The girls of MBD did our ladies hair and makeup up inside an amazing suite at Mohegan Sun. Great work Andrea Zola. So great to run into a friend Debbie Dextraduer during bridal prep! Working on wedding number two in the same weekend with Laura DeCarlo, along with Amanda Steele. Big thanks for Max Palmer for stepping up and assiting on this awesome wedding. Matthew’s Catering provided the food, drink and dessert while Signature Sounds rocked the tent all night long. Cool vibes from Photobooth Planet with Chloe the VW photo bus on site. Shout outs again to Mr. and Mrs. Johnson on an amazing day and this being the last wedding for their venue, The Overlook at Geer Tree Farm. Way to go out with a bang!

  • On a rainy fall Friday afternoon, Lynsey and Chris got hitched and what an amazing day it was! What’s even more amazing was when the rain held out for us during creatives after their ceremony for a few hours. Then, just like that it started to rain again. Things happen for a reason! Super great times working with the ladies of Salon Odette enhancing our bride’s beauty. Alongside Laura DeCarlo for two weddings this past weekend, this being the start of the first. • October 1st, 2016. The first day of October was underway with Allie and Matt’s Mystic style wedding day. The weather gods were on our side and the rain decided to hold off for us to be able to capture an outdoor first look as well as an outdoor ceremony in downtown Mystic. Everything happens for a reason and this worked out so well in our favor! The natural lighting was amazing and so perfect for filming. Our day began out in Old Mystic on River Road at an amazingly awesome rented home right at the beginning of the Mystic River. So fabulous with many, many areas to film bridal prep and details! Allie and her girls were having their hair and makeup done here by a few of the ladies from Simply Gorgeous by Erin. Amazing work as all of our ladies looked stunning! With Mystic near the Rhode Island boarder, our groom Matt was in Westerly with the gents hanging out and getting ready at his parent’s home. A little horseshoes and puppy love is never a bad thing on the day of your wedding. Once both sides of our party were ready, a first look was planned at our bride’s location in Old Mystic right on the water front. From here, it was over to the venue, the Mystic Museum of Art in downtown Mystic for our couple’s ceremony and reception. Once again, the rain continued to hold off for us! To make things epic, once our ceremony was finished, we took our newlyweds over to the Mystic Bridge to stop traffic and film a few creative shots downtown with many visitors cheering on our brand new husband and wife! See the rest of what went down in Allie + Matt’s short preview film here and a huge congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Mesite! Big thanks to our groom’s cousin Stephen Shamakian for recommending s to Allie and Matt.

  • The day was filled with all smiles. Literally, all smiles from everyone. Laughter and excitement! Perfect ways to describe our bride Kimberly and our groom Anthony. Mike Sun and I started the day off down in the lower eastern side of Connecticut, with our bride in Stamford and our groom in Greenwich. We knew the day was going to be amazing right from the start when walking into bridal prep and our ladies with the biggest smiles and laughter greeted us. Such a good feeling to know that the day was going to be amazing. With MBD Beauty already in full swing with hair and makeup, our bride was feeling excited! The smile every time we pointed the camera at her was from ear to ear! Meanwhile, Anthony was over at his parent’s home getting ready with his guys, calm as can be. Once both parties were set and ready, we headed out to Saint Catherine of Siena for their 3:00pm afternoon ceremony. From here it was planned to head to Binney Park in Old Greenwich for some creatives with our bridal party. With a quick ride over the border into NY, we headed from Binney Park into New Rochelle for the celebration being held at the Greentree Country Club, right on the ocean front. Great venue with a great view! Kim’s father and sister rocked out their speeches to our couple with teary eyed moments as well as a few laughs. A fantastic evening ended with a few fireworks set off while down on the beach with our couple! Check out Kim + Anthony’s mini wedding preview film here!

  • Such a perfect September day for Rebecca and Chris’ big day. With everything planned out perfectly, the day was amazing and we had so much capturing beautiful moments! Started off out in Burlington at our bride’s parent’s home where the detail in every aspect of their home was incredible. So many features to show along with our couple’s first look location taking place here. When we arrived, our bride and her girls were in the process of hair and makeup from the amazing talented girls, Melanie Dias and Laura Bratz from Larissa Lake Makeup Artists. With details in check, our gentlemen were getting ready over in Middlebury at our groom’s Mother’s home. As mentioned, our first look was planned out for the backyard grounds of our bride’s parent’s home and was a perfect spot it was! Great outdoor lighting made it perfect for our couple to see each other and take it all in. With their ceremony being held at Saint Joseph’s in Bristol, our couple ventured over to the church in an old school Rolls Royce and arrived in style. From our ceremony, we headed right over to Aria where we would celebrate with friends and family. As always, awesome times with Maegan and Joey DeCrescenzo of Candace Jeffrey Photography. Timmy Maia rocked out the party with the live band, Rohn Lawrence on guitar and Trevor on Drums! Big thanks to Max Palmer on second filming on this awesome wedding. Congrats Rebecca and Chris…enjoy their mini wedding day film from this past Friday! More to come!

  • The phrase and hashtag #HaleToTheQuags was for sure on point yesterday for Krystal and Mike’s big summer day! Even with a little rain drops, it did not stop the awesome team they had from capturing their special day. So MV Films met with Krystal and Mike over a year ago and we learned that Mike is a State Trooper and was injured on the job. During our initial meetings Mike was doing well and recovering and it is amazing to see our groom up and dancing, making a full recovery and now back to work…well back to work after their amazing honeymoon trip. What made this day even more special was their son Xavier being a huge part of his parent’s day and for driving in the most bad a** power car with strobes to the theme song “Bad Boys” aka “Cops” theme song. Incredible wedding working with some of Connecticut’s finest pros. Stephanie and Danielle of Naomi’s Studio and Salon on with hair and makeup making our bride and her ladies gorgeous. Our bride’s dress from the lovely Bliss Bridal, great work Jessica. Starting the day off over at Avon Old Farms Hotel for bridal prep gave us many options for creative details shots. Another weekend, back to back working with Hubert and Alka of HK Photography, this time being over at the Riverview! Always fun laughs and creative moments when working with you guys. And we can’t forget the great playlists from Bert and Vinnie of Afterhours DJ! Great second angles from Johnny working with us on this killer wedding!

  • Just that, a wedding day out at the Waterview over in Monroe right on Lake Zoar. What an amazing day. From sun light to down pouring rain, to an outdoor ceremony, to a kick but party! It all went down yesterday for Lisette and Derek’s wedding. Starting off at the Shelton Courtyard Marriott, the bridal party was pumped for a good day. With both parties at the same hotel, once dressed and ready, we ventured over to the Waterview for a planned outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception. 30 minutes before our ceremony was scheduled to begin, the rain began to down pour like mad! What to do…wait it out or move the ceremony inside? Our bride and groom insisted on having it still outdoors and to wait a few more minutes to see if it would clear. And sure enough, a little after 6:00pm, the rain let up and the sun came out and the ceremony was held outdoors as planned! With the reception starting soon after, the party rocked on with a full dance floor for the entire evening. Floral on point from Flowers by Danielle. Loved the colors and centerpieces. Always a creative fun time with Hubert and Alka of HK Photography. Can’t wait until next Friday for another creative wedding! Our bride and her ladies looking beautiful thanks to A Touch of Color Makeup Studio and Nicole Marie Makeup, awesome work ladies! Shout out to the Waterview for everything during the day and having the ceremony outdoors ready to go so quick! Check out a quick peek of the day!

  • The Hannoush family wedding. What an exciting time. The Hannoush family, owners of Hannoush Jewelers celebrated up in the Springfield area this past Saturday and we were privileged to capture the special day for DeAnna and TJ. With our ladies getting ready over in West Springfield at our bride’s Mom’s home, the girls were all excited to begin the day when we arrived. With the excitement, energy and laughter filling the house, we were feeling very creative. While all of this was going down, our groom TJ was over in Springfield getting ready at his parent’s home, excited and a tad bit nervous for the ceremony to start. With a beautiful ceremony over at Saint Anthony’s Maronite Church, our bridal party then ventured over to our venue, Greathorse Country Club to begin a fun creative session. As the sun came out and the clouds disappeared, our fun filled bridal party gave us tons of energy for the film. With our bride and groom, we then headed in two golf carts out on the golf course to film some cool fairway shots and interesting backgrounds. The party was a huge success for Greathorse, being one of their biggest receptions ever. So much footage was captured we could only show some of our favorites for this short preview. Check it out and congrats DeAnna and TJ!

  • Summer weddings are always creative times for us. Being down on the beach front along the Connecticut shoreline sets the creative juices flowing even more. Sydney and Shariq’s ocean front day was incredible. With our bride and groom preparing for the big day down at the family summer home in Old Saybrook, the ceremony held on a private beach was in walking distance of each other. With our ladies at our bride’s parent’s beach home, the day stated out a little rainy but that never put a hold on anyone ever before. Hair and makeup provided by Danielle and Stephanie, an awesome team from Naomi’s Studio and Salon. With our groom and the gents a few houses up the road, the guys hung out, laughed and enjoyed their time together. With a beach front ceremony planned, the sun just one time came out. With a beach session afterwards, we headed up to Haddam to the Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station for the reception to begin. For sure a party when the live band is jamming and the bride’s father sings a few songs to an awesome crowd! Check out what went down this past Saturday!

  • So much amazing footage captured yesterday down at Foxwoods Resort Casino that I wish I could share it all within a few minutes! OMG guys and gals, the day was amaaaazzzing! Just sayin’

Katie + Billy’s wedding could not have been more perfect. Even with the heat, we filmed some incredible moments throughout this perfect summer Saturday alongside Airen Miller of Airen Miller Photography. Epic drone shots we filmed at both locations totally made the day that much more exciting, don’t you think? I think weddings are that much more fun when you have past couples and friends involved within the wedding party and as guests, great great times!

So we had Stylish Blooms on all the floral designs yesterday, incredible work! Janice and Tonya from Naomi’s Studio and Salon on hair and makeup making our bride and lovely ladies looking gorgeous. Of course, whenever we work alongside Airen Miller, the day is always full of adventure and excitement. Drone shot outside the venue, no?! (inside joke). The staff of Lake of Isles did a fantastic job with all of the accommodations for the day, hats off to you guys. And Atmosphere Productions providing the tunes for the entertainment. The heat can take a back seat when we roll in another MV Films style wedding!

  • Plymouth Massachusetts. Wow. What can we say more about this gorgeous New England Shoreline town. Nothing but amazing! Jill and Ben’s wedding was everything they could have asked for. With the jaw dropping views of Cape Cod Bay to the perfect summer weather we had, their wedding day was simply amazing. With our bridal party getting ready over at Hotel 1620 out in Plymouth Bay, our bride and groom had nothing but smiles and laughs through the entire morning as each respected side prepared for the wedding of their lives. A first look was planned over at their venue, White Cliffs Country Club, about 20 minutes away down the shoreline. Our bride Jill had the biggest smile across her face as she walked right up to our groom and tapped him on the shoulder. An instant kiss was had as soon as our groom Ben turned around. Best moment of the entire day! From here, their ceremony took place in front of family and friends outside and a huge reception/party began. By taking our couple down to the bottom of the cliff side to the beach below, definitely the highlight of the evening. Take a closer look at the Lassel’s short preview film of the incredible wedding yesterday!

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lassel. #youhadmeatlassel

  • Pineapple. Tropics. The traditional sign and symbol of “Welcome”. The theme to Jennifer + Luke’s ocean front wedding down at Anthony’s Ocean View this past Saturday during this gorgeous Fourth of July holiday weekend. Such an amazing celebration and so excited that we were able tell this wonderful couple’s story. The excitement that Jennifer had all day was so contagious that while filming, we could not help but smile and laugh along with her! And yes, many many laughs! Listen to our Matron of Honor Ashley’s amazing speech given to her older sister and now new brother-in-law while viewing some of our favorite moments that took place. Happy Fourth of July Weekend!

  • Rose and Marc’s beautiful Waterbury area wedding day was perfect, even with a little rain to start. You know it’s going to be a good day when you first capture a shot of the gorgeous wedding dress and the bride begins to tear up. With Italian traditions on both sides, the family and friends of Rose and Marc all came together at Mount Carmel Church in Waterbury and witnessed a loving ceremony. With the rain still upon us, we were planning on heading to a local park, but instead got into the Palace Theater in downtown Waterbury for the creatives. Everything worked out perfectly with the sun eventually coming back out and having great light for a perfect La Bella Vista reception. Be sure to view their preview in HD!

  • Double wedding weekend was upon us this past weekend. The first was up in the lovely town of Simsbury where I think, we had the best weather so far for the 2016 season! The day turned out so beautiful for Meghan + Jordan. With a first look held at the most awesome Flower Bridge, our couple saw each other for the first time before family, friends and their bridal party right on the bridge. With balloons in hand, this was for sure a creative way to do a first reveal. We like creative and different! Our ceremony was held by the fantastic Wanda Chiles at the Riverview followed by an exciting reception on the venue’s east side. Take a look in HD at how Meghan and Jordan celebrated their amazing wedding day!

  • Elegance, class and beauty was all we could think about during yesterday’s Memorial Day wedding up at Aria. Our couple @alyssa and Vincent looked phenomenal. The weather was forecasted to rain all day, at times even heavy. Sure enough the rain came in during the morning but as luck would have it, the rain gods let up once we left our bride’s parent’s home. Couldn’t have asked for a better overcast day. Everything worked out amazingly and are super excited to share their short preview of how their special day unfolded. How about some love for this awesome couple! #DeLeoWedding

  • Ciao! This was the greeting we found ourselves saying to family and friends on our bride’s side as we began our day. With an Italian wedding ahead of us, we knew we were in for such a fun and energetic day. @gaetana + @mike sanders said their “I Dos” up at the altar and the rest is left to be viewed by you! Very happy for our awesome couple Gaetana + Michael. Salute!

  • Rainy days for days. Thats what it seemed to be like for the week leading up to @jackie and @ed’s wedding day. The rain in fact helped with making their day so special allowing us to film with some beautiful light and excellent tones. When we arrived in the morning to begin the day, the pouring rain was in full effect and didn’t seem like it was going to end. Once our bride arrived at the church, the rain held off. Even though we didn’t get any sunlight, the story of our couple’s love is true, real and we couldn’t be more happy for these two! Sharing now their preview from their rainy, but amazingly beautiful wedding.
